What does the Zozy app do?
Zozy helps you understand what something is worth before you buy it. Take a photo of an item for sale, new or used. If there's a price tag in the shot, Zozy reads the asking price automatically — you can always correct it or type it in yourself. Zozy then shows you a fair price for the item and whether the asking price measures up. You can choose Buy, Want, or Pass and keep track of that decision over time.
Where do the prices come from, and how does Zozy decide?
When you take a photo, Zozy runs a reverse-image search to find the same or similar items for sale, then reads the current asking prices from retailers and marketplaces across the web. It uses those live listings to estimate a fair price — what it should cost you to get this item today — and compares the asking price against it: Great Price — well below what it's worth Good Price — a good price for what it is Fair Price — about what it's worth High Price — more than it's worth Sometimes Zozy needs a moment or a little help first. You may see Add Asking Price, Check Price when the price it read looks off and is worth confirming, or Limited Data when there isn't enough pricing out there to make the call. Zozy will tell you when it doesn't know rather than guess. Market prices change constantly, so treat every result as useful context for your decision rather than a guaranteed price.
What can I scan?
Almost anything you're considering buying, new or used. Switch between Retail and Secondhand depending on where you're shopping. Zozy works especially well for clothing, accessories, furniture, home goods, collectibles, electronics, and vintage pieces — and it still works on items with no real secondhand market, because it can always tell you what the item costs new. Shopping retail, you'll see how the price in front of you compares with what that product is going for elsewhere, including secondhand options that may cost less when they exist.
What does Zozy cost?
Zozy is free to start. The free plan includes 10 AI price checks per calendar month, and your allowance resets at the start of each month. A Zozy membership is $39.99 per year and gives you unlimited checks, plus your full history, inventory, and wishlists. Membership is billed through your Apple ID and renews automatically each year unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it renews. You can cancel anytime in your Apple ID settings, and you'll keep your membership until the end of the period you've paid for.
Is my data private?
Yes. Zozy does not sell your personal data. We do not accept advertising, affiliate commissions, or payments from brands to influence the results you see. Zozy is funded by its members, so the only side Zozy is on is yours. To identify your item and price it, Zozy sends your photo to OpenAI, Anthropic, and our image-search provider. We ask you to agree to this in the app before you take your first photo, we don't send them your name, email, or account details, and none of them use your photos to train their AI models. Our Privacy Policy explains exactly what each one receives.
How do I delete my account?
You can delete your account directly inside the Zozy app, under Account → Delete Account. If you need help, contact us and we'll take care of it.
